FAQ's
Here are some of the most common questions we get asked on a daily basis. If you have a question that is not listed below, please feel free to call us! We strive to make your dance experience as comfortable and fun as possible.
See you on the dance floor!
Do I need a partner in the group classes?

Absolutely not. As a social based studio, we always invite and encourage students to rotate partners since it helps to develop the skills it takes to lead and follow. We have a great mix of couples, single men and single ladies.

Do I need shoes?

We encourage students to dance comfortably. In other words, you don't need any special dance shoes, just a comfortable street shoe that allows you to swivel on the floor. (Try to avoid running shoes or anything with a rubber sole that grips.)

Do I need any prior dance experience?

No experience needed. We have a dedicated beginner night for those just starting as well as custom one-on-one private lesson options designed around your personal skill level. Drop-in for just $25/class.

Private Lessons or Group classes?

Both! Group classes are supplemental to Private Lessons. Private Lessons are where you learn how to dance, while group classes are where you learn different moves and get to practice and be social. Our King & Queen of Hearts membership give the best value for both classes & private lessons.

Do you have a cancellation policy?

Yes! If you are unable to keep a scheduled private lesson, please give 48 hours advance notice, to ensure that you will not be charged for the lesson. If less than 48 hours notice is given and we are unable to fill your time slot, you will be expected to pay for the lesson.

How long does it take to learn how to dance?
Those who take advantage of our King & Queen of Hearts Membership which gives you UNLIMITED group classes and 25% off private lessons, can expect to see progress much faster than those who just drop-in from time to time. Expect it to take 4-8 weeks to get comfortable with the basic steps, and a year to really have a good foundation of being smooth and relaxed on the dance floor.

Can I buy a gift card?

Yes! You can buy a gift card in $25 increments. Good for private lessons, group classes, memberships and dance cards. Please indicate if you would like us to mail the card or if you will be picking up the card in person. Give the gift of dance. No expiration.

Can I freeze my membership?

Yes! We understand that life happens! Members can freeze their membership for 1, 2 or 3 months at a time. Members will see a nominal charge each month rather than their Full Membership Rate for the length of your Freeze. Login to your member account to see our Membership Freeze Policy for full details.

Do you have a late payment policy?

Yes. We expect our members to reach out to us if they are experiencing financial hardship. Login to you member account to get more information about our Membership Late Fee. For more information regarding membership dues and due dates, please review your membership agreement.
